Credwell Fire Safety Engineers provide fire safety performance-based design and performance solution consultancy services to the construction industry. This includes developing performance based fire engineering solutions to meet the Performance Requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA), as well as assisting other Credwell teams with fire safety related queries, assisting audits, and working with clients to increase levels of safety in constrained existing buildings.

Credwell Fire Safety Engineers have the role of working with senior members of the team to provide technical advice in all matters relating to fire safety engineering, developing fire safety strategies, preparing and issuing inspection reports, liaising directly with clients, FRNSW and Certifiers and assisting our Building Surveyors in providing value engineering opportunities to our clients.

You will be working on a variety of projects from tendering stage (preparing fee proposals) to certification stage which includes site inspections of buildings under construction and existing buildings, meetings with clients and design teams as well as some administration tasks related to technical works.

A more senior Fire Safety Engineer would have a direct input into the management of this area of the consultancy.

We are looking for someone with some or all of the following:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
• Preparation of Fire Engineering Briefs and Reports, Performance Solutions, etc.
• High level understanding of the Australian Standards for systems such as fire hydrants, sprinklers, and smoke detection.
• Experience in negotiating with Building Regulatory Authorities.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
