Our Services

Section J NCC is a mandatory requirement at Construction Certificate (CC Stage). A Section J Report shows how compliance will be achieved for the energy efficiency of Class 2 common areas and 3-9c buildings This DTS route to compliance is a clause-by-clause assessment.

A JV3 Assessment is a performance-based route to showing compliance with Section J at the CC Stage and is generated from a bespoke computer simulation. This model uses window size, orientation, shading, internal heat gains, thermal mass, solar panels, roof colour, etc to construct a replica of the actual build that can offset window and insulation specifications in a dynamic manner, where cost-savings can be identified and implemented for your build.

The Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) requirements apply to all residential dwelling types and are part of the development application process in NSW.

In NSW, there are BASIX requirements for water and energy usage and thermal comfort performance that apply to:

  • All new residential dwellings
  • Alterations and additions to dwellings that cost $50,000 or more
  • Swimming pools of 40,000 litres or more

A Sustainable Management Plan (SMP) is a document that summaries the sustainable design features of a new residential and non-residential development based on BESS or Green Star pathways.

The Built Environment Sustainability Scorecard (BESS) is an assessment tool created by local governments in Victoria. It assists builders and developers to show how a proposed development demonstrates sustainable design, at the planning permit stage.

Our ESD Assessments are tailored to collaborate with existing council requirements (LEP/DCP in NSW) for DA/CDC.

NatHERS is an Australia wide energy rating scheme for houses and dwellings required by council. Our assessors are proficient in BersPro and FirstRate software.

We provide services throughout the whole life cycle of the project, from inspections and ongoing consultancy against compliance requirements during the build to a compliance statement for the PCA prior to Occupational Certificate.
